Men, in general are notoriously hard to buy gifts for. In my experience, they either buy what they want, or want things out of my price range or request items that require a deep understanding of subjects I know nothing about. When you look at Father’s Day greeting cards they all have the same 4 themes. Golf, Fishing, BBQing and Tools. Apparently we have stereotyped men down to 4 categories and that’s kind of sad. While men traditionally do, in fact like the above mentioned 4 things I would like to think there is a little more depth to them. Don’t ruin it for me.
When I asked The Husband about this he said,” Dad’s get the short end of the stick when it comes to holidays and they are used to it”. Socks, it seems are not actually gifts in my husband’s opinion. Even ones with cactus on them. While we may not be able to solve the greeting card dilemma we can offer a gift guide with unique options. Handmade by local Texas artisans your gift will not only be a thoughtful one, it will also help small businesses stay afloat during these uncertain times.

For The Dad That Has Everything:
We know him, we love him, but he has everything he needs or wants. How do you make this Dad feel special? We visit Jacque’s Old Fashioned again as he and his wife continue to make outstanding handcrafted goods tried and tested by Jacque himself. I’m loving the Groovy Glasses Case, all leather and available in two colors.
Dad doesn’t wear glasses? That’s OK, Jacque’s Old Fashioned also offers some handmade leather wallets to choose from. The Husband favors the “slim” wallet stating it’s more comfortable. The Field Notes Guide is my personal favorite. Coming from the kiddo it could be an opportunity to create some lasting memories.
How many hats does Dad wear? Many, I bet. That’s still one less than he needs. Whether he’s into a traditional “Dad Hat’, or the air-conditioned trucker hat we offer both.
Our t-shirts are sturdy yet soft. Some are designed by local artists, others benefit local cities. Find one that fits Dad’s personality for a great price. Better yet, get matching ones!
